Many proposals have been put forward for the Pier and all are currently being considered. Suggestions include:

• Restaurants
• Film theatre
• Conference venue
• Retail units
• Education Centre
• Information booths
• Multi-use space for diverse activities including environmental art exhibitions, local dance events etc
• Childrens’ creativity pods

The plan below shows one proposed layout of the interior of the Pavilion, including a balance of activities so that the Pavilion can be a sustainable, commercially viable building. We will be releasing the latest designs shortly, please check back soon.

The image below shows a cross section of the Pavilion building demonstrating the propsed layout of the internal design. The full height of the vaulted structure will be used in the main multi-purpose area and give a wonderful open space in the centre of the Pavilion.
